Goodside LLC ("we," "us," or "our") operates the Goodside mobile application (the "App") and related services (collectively, the "Services"). We are committed to protecting your privacy and handling your data responsibly.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, share, and protect your information when you use the Services. By using the Services, you consent to the practices described here. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

1. Information We Collect

We collect the following types of information:

Account details (e.g., email, password if you create an account)
Uploaded photos/selfies ("User Photos") for analysis
Subscription/payment information (processed via third-party providers like Apple App Store, Google Play, or RevenueCat)

b. Automatically Collected Information

Device information (e.g., model, OS version, IP address)
Usage data (e.g., features used, analytics via Firebase)

c. Facial and Biometric Data

What Face Data We Collect:

Facial landmark coordinates (468 points including eyes, nose, mouth, jawline, and facial contours)
Head pose angles (yaw, pitch, roll measurements in degrees)
Facial symmetry measurements and ratios
Face shape classification data (oval, round, square, heart, oblong, diamond)
Skin tone and color analysis data for color palette recommendations
Facial expression analysis (smile, neutral, etc.)
Mathematical representations derived from facial geometry

How We Use Face Data:

To provide Best Angle Analysis: determining your most flattering camera angles based on facial geometry
To provide Best Photo Picker: ranking and scoring your photos based on facial positioning, lighting, and expression
To provide Face Shape Detection: classifying your face shape for personalized styling recommendations
To provide Color Palette Analysis: analyzing your skin tone and features for color recommendations
To provide Symmetry Score: calculating facial symmetry percentages and providing personalized tips
To build your Aesthetic ID: a personalized profile of your best angles, colors, and features
Face data is NOT used for facial recognition, identity verification, advertising, or any purpose other than providing the features described above

Where Face Data is Processed and Stored:

Primary processing occurs ON YOUR DEVICE using TensorFlow Lite and OpenCV libraries. Photos are analyzed locally without leaving your phone for most operations.
Derived results (scores, angles, shape classifications - NOT raw photos) may be stored in Firebase (Google Cloud) servers located in the United States for account sync and history features.
For premium users, photo thumbnails may be stored temporarily in Firebase Storage for history features.

Third-Party Sharing of Face Data:

We do NOT sell, rent, or share your face data with third parties for their own purposes.
We do NOT share face data with advertisers or marketing companies.
Face data may only be processed by our service providers (Firebase/Google) solely to operate the app, under strict data processing agreements.

How Long We Retain Face Data:

On-device analysis data: Stored locally on your device; deleted when you uninstall the app or clear app data.
Derived results (Aesthetic ID, scores): Retained while your account is active. Deleted within 3 days of account deletion.
Photo history thumbnails (premium): Retained while your subscription is active. Deleted within 3 days of account deletion or subscription cancellation.
You can delete all your data at any time through the app's Profile settings.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

Provide and improve Services (e.g., generate personalized angles, rank photos, build your Aesthetic ID)
Manage accounts and subscriptions
Analyze usage for app enhancements (anonymized where possible)
Comply with laws or respond to requests

We do not use facial data for advertising, profiling beyond app features, or unrelated purposes. We do not sell your personal or biometric data.

3. Legal Basis for Processing (If Applicable)

For users in regions like the EU/UK, we process data based on:

Your consent (by using the App)
Contract performance (providing Services)
Legitimate interests (improving the App)

4. Data Sharing and Disclosure

We share data only as needed:

With service providers (e.g., Firebase for storage/analytics, RevenueCat for payments) under strict contracts
For legal reasons (e.g., court orders)
In business transfers (e.g., mergers)

We do not share biometric data except with processors bound by confidentiality.

5. Data Storage and Security

On-device processing minimizes transmission.
Server data is encrypted and stored securely (e.g., Firebase).
We retain User Photos and derived data as long as your account is active or as needed for features. Premium history is retained longer.
Upon account deletion, we delete your data (including photos and analyses) within 3 days, except as required by law.
We use reasonable security measures but cannot guarantee absolute security.

6. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to:

Access, correct, or delete your data
Opt-out of certain processing (e.g., limit sensitive personal information under California law)
Withdraw consent (by stopping use/deleting account)
Request export of your data

Delete your account and data via App settings
Revoke camera permissions in device settings

7. Children's Privacy

The Services are not for children under 13 (or higher as required in some regions). We do not knowingly collect data from children.

8. International Data Transfers

Data may be processed in the US (via Firebase/Google). We use safeguards like standard contractual clauses for transfers as required by law.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Policy. Material changes will be notified via the App or email. Continued use after updates means acceptance.
